Helsinki Bicycle Action Plan - 2020-2025

An update of the first city-wide cycling plan released in 2014, the Bicycle Action Plan 2020-2025 aims to make the Finnish capital a place in which cycling is suitable for all ages in all seasons. In addition, the city has set out to increase cycling’s modal share to at least 20 per cent by 2035.

The Cycle Highway Manual

The Cycle Highway Manual is a product of the CHIPS project (Cycle Highways Innovation for smarter People transport and Spatial planning) financed by Interreg North-West Europe. It summarises 3 years of knowledge sharing and research between partners from Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, UK and Denmark. It aims to be a help for professionals that deal with cycle highway planning, design, construction, selling, maintenance, monitoring or evaluation.

LIFE ASPIRE – Advanced logistics platform with road pricing and access criteria to improve urban environment and mobility of goods. This project includes various actions to develop and implement urban logistics solutions. Among these are case studies of cargo bike implementation and other innovative measures to move goods in cities.

Guidance for Cycling Projects in the EU
