Best practices – Inner-city bicycle parking

This handbook provides guidelines for the installation of bicycle parking facilities at busy locations. Drawing on the experience of the City of Amsterdam in creating such infrastructure, the handbook sets out a seven-step process for doing so.

Helsinki Bicycle Action Plan - 2020-2025

Report

An update of the first city-wide cycling plan released in 2014, the Bicycle Action Plan 2020-2025 aims to make the Finnish capital a place in which cycling is suitable for all ages in all seasons. In addition, the city has set out to increase cycling’s modal share to at least 20 per cent by 2035.

Bordeaux Metropolitan Bicycle Plan

Report

The metropolitan bicycle plan voted by elected officials in December 2016 represents 70 million euros over the 2017-2020 period. Among the flagship actions is the creation of a Metropolitan House of alternative mobilities, the development of the V3 network, a two-wheel-drive infrastructure development plan worth € 30 million and the reinforcement of communication and initiation actions for cycling .
