Bikenomics: Building the case for cycling (Training)

Those interested in learning about the possibilities of bicycle infrastructure appraisal and the economical arguments that build a (better) case for their implementation, are invited to attend an upcoming DTV training on Bikenomics.

Bikenomics is the approach to rationalizing the societal and economical benefits of cycling. The approach supports the endorsement of bicycle infrastructure investments and policy developments, and has been successfully applied across Europe and Latin America. Handshake Future Cycling Capital, Helsinki, recently conduced it's first Bikenomics analysis within the scope of cycling infrastructure renovation on one of it's central roads.

The purpose of the training is to illustrate the theory and practice of Bikenomics using real-life case studies. It is hosted by Decisio, a partner in the Handshake project, with the support of Handshake cities Copenhagen and Helsinki. The training is organized by DTV, a partner in CIVITAS ELEVATE.

The training is divided into three Zoom sessions: 9 March, 16 March and 6 April

Attendees can expect “A unique high quality live online training with international experts and city representatives that will teach you actionable steps to start applying bikenomics yourself”.
